    Detecting a burning smell and hearing crackling sounds after starting one of the 301st Fighter Wing Logistic Readiness Squadron's fuel delivery trucks, Senior Airman Matthew Kunko sprung into action to avert a disaster.

    301 FW highlights Dallas/Fort Worth Civic Leader Day

    Dallas/Fort Worth civic leaders were given the opportunity to experience the only Air Force Reserve Command F-16 Fighting Falcon unit in the state of Texas at U.S. Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas. Civic Leader Day, which demonstrated total force integration of the installation--U.S. Navy, Marines, Air Force Reserve and Air Force Air National Guard-- also highlighted its service members...many of whom are Traditional Reservists who live and work in the same DFW area.

    Training equips Airmen for future challenges

    301 FW AMXS Load Crews compete to win

    Evaluators observed as four competing, three-person AMXS load crews loaded weapons on their respective F-16 Fighting Falcon. The crews moved quickly, while maintaining a strict attention to detail, speed, safety, and proficiency, with hopes of winning the 301 FW’s load crew of the year.

    Spads and Leaping Tigers train, stand ready

    F-16 pilots from the 457th and 24th Fighter Squadrons assigned to the 301st Fighter Wing, U.S. Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas, conducted a two week training exercise over the north Texas skies in order to accomplish established training objectives from August 3 through August 10.
