Lt. Col. David Piffarerio, 302nd Fighter Squadron commander, reenlists Staff Sgt. Sara Furman, Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgery Clinic, Cardiopulmonary technician, in front of the Centrifuge at Brooks City Air Base, Texas. Piffarerio was a part of a group of pilots conducting testing at the Centrifuge when he met Furman. “I was impressed by how he presented himself. It is always about the team for him. He is a true leader. He was always caring about the other pilots; making sure each one was okay,” said Furman. “I am so happy that I gained enough courage to ask Lt. Col. Piffarerio to conduct the oath. My service means so much more to me now, so I won't let the legendary "Piff" down.” (Courtesy Photo)
