Bob Jennings 442d Fighter Wing Public Affairs WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. -- Acting Deputy Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs Mr. John Fedrigo, visited the 442d Fighter Wing April 28, 2022, as part of a larger visit to Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. Fedrigo spoke with Col. Mike Leonas, the 442 FW vice wing commander, about the challenges faced by reservists in general, and the 442 FW in particular. He then met and coined eight Airmen who had recently deployed – two from the 442d Maintenance Group, five from the 442d Mission Support Group, and one from the 442d Operations Group – before taking a tour of the 5-Bay maintenance hangar and an A-10 Thunderbolt II.
