It has been said, “Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired and success achieved” - Helen Keller.

As we navigate life and all its ups and downs, remember each hill we climb enhances us and stretches our growth tremendously. During the tough, painful times, reach out to family and friends, and those who have climbed hills like you as they have wisdom and experience that could provide you with some new tools to overcome.

We are not born with character and it is not built overnight. It is something that takes time to develop, along with dedication based on your choices in life.

You and your families have chosen to dedicate your lives to the mission of the 944th Fighter Wing and in doing so, have dedicated your lives to building exceptional character. Keep fighting, learning and growing, and most of all keep building character!
