HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah – About 30 senior leaders from fifth-generation F-22 and F-35 units across the Air Force have come together at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, for a summit hosted by the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings March 27-29.

During the event, the group will tour key F-35 facilities and discuss challenges and benchmarks within the fifth-gen community.

“Ultimately, the goal is that we learn from each other and work collectively to forge the Air Force's fifth-gen airpower legacy,” said Col. David Smith, 419 FW Commander.

Hill's fighter wings received the F-35A in September 2015 and will be home to three fighter squadrons with a total of 78 aircraft by the end of 2019. The active duty 388th FW and Air Force Reserve 419th FW fly and maintain the jets in a Total Force partnership, which capitalizes on the strength of both components.
