MXS holds assumption of command Published Nov. 15, 2016 477th Fighter Group, Public Affairs U.S. Air Force Col. Christopher D. Ogren, the 477th Fighter Group commander, passed the 477th Maintenance Squadron guidon to Lt. Col. Aaron C. Milner during an assumption of command ceremony Nov. 6, 2016 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Milner, who most recently served as the aircraft and munitions division chief for Air Force Central Command, takes the reins of a Reserve maintenance squadron with more than 75 personnel directly supporting Alaska’s only Air Force Reserve unit. “I’m excited to build upon the great total force relationships that already exist here while we focus on furthering the power, people and partners of the 477th Maintenance Squadron,” said Milner. “It’s an honor to be here as part of the 477th Fighter Group legacy.” “Welcome to the Classic Associate Fighter game,” said Ogren as he welcomed Milner to the Fighter Group family. “It may not be the best, or easiest, way to produce AIR DOMINANCE, but it is the best combat power the Nation can afford. We all have to be stewards of the taxpayer's dollars, and your MXS Airmen epitomize that … It may not be perfect - but our Air Force remains the envy of the world - and your relationship with our PARTNERS to produce Combat POWER every day will make it worth the effort.”
