JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas (AFNS) --   Air Force officials are accepting nominations for the 2018 Civilian Strategic Leadership Program. Applications are due to the Air Force Personnel Center by May 1, 2018.

CSLP, the Air Force’s senior civilian career broadening program, is designed to develop multiskilled GS-13, GS-14 and GS-15 (and equivalent) leaders by placing them in leadership positions across the enterprise for up to three years.

“CSLP provides selectees with a broad range of senior-level experiences and challenging responsibilities that greatly aid the Department of Defense’s ability to carry out its many missions,” said Craig Pearson, AFPC’s CSLP program co-manager. “The Air Force has a responsibility to grow strong civilian leaders and properly prepare them to assume senior positions.”

Candidates will be matched with installation-level, Headquarters Air Force or joint assignments to enhance overall development capabilities and garner senior leader experience, which helps prepare them for more strategic Air Force leadership responsibilities.

CSLP is comprised of about 65 assignments located across the U.S. and overseas. A selection board evaluates candidates on leadership performance, progressive supervisory experience and advanced education. GS-13 (and equivalent) candidates will only be considered for installation-level assignments.

Assignments include deputy director for installation support, international political military affairs specialist, program analyst for the Program Integration Division, senior portfolio manager, supervisory strategic planner and executive director.

For more information about CSLP and how to apply, select “CSLP” from the Civilian dropdown menu on myPers from a CAC-enabled, .mil computer. For more information about personnel programs, visit AFPC’s public website.
