  • New tail commemorates final Hill AFB F-16

    The last operational Hill AFB F-16 Fighting Falcon, set to leave in September, will depart for reassignment to Holloman AFB with a new tail design commemorating the jet’s 38 years here.

  • Last of F-16 fleet at Hill goes through phase

    As the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings transition from the F-16 Fighting Falcon to the F-35A Lightning II, milestones occur frequently. Another milestone is currently underway; the 388th and 419th Maintenance Squadrons are performing their final phase inspection on a Hill AFB F-16.

  • Portraits in Courage Airmen honored during concert

    The National Anthem, followed by an A-10 and F-16 flyover and the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team, kicked off the Air Force’s final Heritage to Horizons summer concert at the Air Force Memorial Aug. 4, 2017. The theme for the special event was “Portraits in Courage.”

  • Hill Airmen return from Afghanistan

    Nearly 300 active duty and Reserve Airmen assigned to the 421st Fighter Squadron, known as the Black Widows, returned here Tuesday following a nearly eight-month deployment to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan.
