10 AF Commander visits with 944 Airmen Published Dec. 12, 2013 By Tech. Sgt. Louis Vega Jr. 944th Fighter Wing Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. -- Maj. Gen. William Binger, 10th Air Force Commander, Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas, visited the 944th Fighter Wing, Dec. 9 through Dec. 10 2013. Binger focused his visit primarily on talking to the men and women of the 944th. He spent his time at Luke visiting and touring several units and attended various unit update meetings. Binger's first stop was to the 944th Security Forces Squadron where he visited with Airmen getting ready to deploy. He talked with the Airmen about their future mission and concerns for the family before and after deployment. During his stay he also visited Col. Anne Gunter, 944th Mission Support Group Commander, and the Logistics Readiness Squadron building currently undergoing renovations. In addition, he spent time with 944th Airmen eating lunch with them and having a candid conversation about upcoming Air Force Reserve changes.
